Rocky Mount Officer Found Not Guilty In Pitt County Trial

A Rocky Mount police officer has been found not guilty of stealing two guns in a Pitt County car break-in from 2007.

A Pitt County jury found David Christman not guilty of all charges on Wednesday. He and a police cadet were arrested last year by Pitt County deputies after one of the weapons was recovered at a Greenville pawn shop. Marvin Cobb still has a court date listed of March 7th.

Christman has been a Rocky Mount officer since February 2009. The city says he returned to duty on Saturday.
