The suspect in a weekend murder in Nash County has been captured.
Nash County deputies say Eusevio Salazar-Mendoza is now being held without bond in the Nash County jail on a first degree murder charge. He was found in a wooded area off Cheeks Quarter Road in Franklin County and deputies say he was arrested without incident.
Mendoza was wanted for the Saturday shooting death of Corrello Ramiro. Ramiro was found dead on Buck Road in Castalia after the shooting was reported to lawmen.
Mendoza has first first court appearance Thursday.
A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of a murder suspect in Nash County.
