Police Exhaust All Options In Missing Man Search

Rocky Mount Police say they have done everything they can in their search for a missing man who disappeared six weeks ago.

Eric Battle, 46, was last seen Aug. 26. His family told officers he has left and not returned for days or weeks in the past, but since his disappearance they have not heard from him.

Officers say battle was last seen leaving Grange St. wearing a brown jacket, blue jeans, plaid shirt, black boots and a bandanna. He is known to frequent malls and parking areas.

Police ask for anyone who may have seen Battle to call authorities.

How could they have exhausted all of their options and this is the first time I have seen anything about this? I work in Rocky Mount, read the paper and check the news daily. This is the first time I have seen or heard anything about this. If the public isn't aware, how can the public help or keep an eye out for this person, or how can options be exhausted if no one knows about it?
