We have a few more details now on what was reported as a double shooting early Friday morning.
Edgecombe County Sheriff James Knight says an argument led to the shooting at a house in southeastern Edgecombe County. The call came in just after 1:30 a.m. at 40 B L Lane, which is about six miles outside of Pinetops.
Sheriff Knight says it's not clear if two people were shot, or if the second victim was injured in another way. Knight said the victims were able to talk after the shooting, so he does not believe the injuries are too serious.
Knight says he expects to get more information this morning, and we'll pass that along to you.
Dispatchers said two people were shot near the Edgecombe County town of Pinetops, which is just over the Pitt-Edgecombe County line. The shootings were reported at 40 BL Lane, which is approximately six miles outside of Pinetops just after 1:30 a.m..
