Suspects Sought In Rocky Mount Teen's Murder

One arrest has been made and police are looking for two more suspects in the murder of a Rocky Mount teenager. That teen was found in a burned home in early September.

Police say they are looking for Nathan Jones of Raleigh, and Brian Carney of Rocky Mount. Both have been charged with first degree murder.

17-year-old Chavalis Boyd was found dead in the house on Silver Leaf Road that was heavily damaged by fire back on September 4th.

Police say an autopsy shows the teen was shot and killed before the fire was set.

One suspect, Quantisia Moss of Kenly, is under arrest and charged with accessory after the fact for murder. She's in jail on $40,000 bond.

Police say they obtained warrants Wednesday night to search Carney's home in Rocky Mount and Jones' home in Raleigh. Police have not yet said what evidence, if any, they recovered as a result of those searches.

Police say the two men may be in a white Yukon SUV with North Carolina tag YXA-1891.

If anyone sees the murder suspects, they are urged to contact Rocky Mount police at 252-972-1411.

To LEW. My point as stated before, your statistics wasn't a comparsion. You sound very prejudice when giving your statistics. President Obama did not make a mess, the mess was there when he got in the chair; Bush mess things up for everyone. I beg your difference when you say that, blacks are saying that we are the victims. you have blacks that commit crimes, whites, hispanics etc... The economy is trying to come up from it's worst down fall. Therefore; crime are going to be on the raise. Can people honesty say they love their love ones, but will actually kill them over insurance money. You have your business scamming people out of millions and millions of dollars, porn are being sold of young children, drugs are being transferred from other countries etc.. FOR THE LOVE OF MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL! So it's not only the blacks who need to do something positive, it's all race.

To WHY-- Good for you, I am glad you overcame adversity instead of just giving up. Unfortunately the statistics are correct. You can't argue with the numbers. We have a problem in this country. My point is that it is time that Black people stop saying "we are victims", and do something positive with thier lives like you did. Toward that end, it is time to admit that Mr. Obama has made a mess of The Presidency. It is time for him to stop blaming everything on Bush and take responsibility for own actions. He has taken a bad situation and turned it into a catastrophe!!!!!

@ LEW, you sound like you DON'T know what you are talking about. Matter of fact, you don't know what you are talking about. I raised 4 children as a single parent (Never had welfare or any freebies). Now only that I worked hard and sent three of my children to college and two have a college degree. I had support from their father; and yes I had a supportive man and family. I think your statics are only focusing on black and your prediction. Since you focus so much on the black, go back and do your statics on the other races. You need to remember one thing; OBAMA HAS NOT GIVEN ANYTHING FREE! He's trying to get you and everyone else out of the slump what your OLE BOY BUSH left us in.

Im so glad there has been a break in this case, Justice will be served and they can get what they deserve, Chay didnt deserve what happened to him and they should be punished to the full extent.

This is another example of why the Black community is in such trouble. We are seeing more and more crime and destruction. Until Black fathers stay in the home, and black mothers do more than have babies for welfare checks, or to be "cool", expect more of this, and more of a dangerous society with no values. Look at the statitics, 70% born out of wedlock, 5 times per captia more in prison, triple the drop out rate, 88% of the out of school suspensions, an HIV epidemic, far behind in the SAT, and any other school testing. Time for someone to have the courage to stand up and say "ENOUGH"!!!!! I just don't think it will happen, Obama is making it easier to fail/ do nothing and still get free insurance, free housing, huge government give aways. Look for much more of the same. They are dragging our country DOWN. I hope someone will help them before it gets even worse.
