UPDATED: High School Guidance Counselor Charged With Rape

We have more information tonight about the high school guidance counselor charged with second degree rape among other charges.

Detectives say the suspect knew his victim and they were considered acquaintances.

Nash County Authorities say 40 year old Patrick Walker held a woman against her will at his home and sexually assaulted her on July 25th.

Deputies then issued a warrant for his arrest.

According to Nash County Deputies, Walker was found a little over a week later in Onslow County.

Walker is currently employed at Northern Nash High School, but suspended with pay.

Previous Story:

A guidance counselor at one high school in Eastern Carolina has been charged with rape and is now suspended with pay from the Nash County school system.

Patrick Walker, age 40, faces second degree rape, kidnapping and sexual offense charges in Nash County.

Personnel records show Walker works at Northern Nash High School and has worked there since 2007.

A court date is set for September 14.

WITN has also learned Walker has another court date on charges of driving while impaired, reckless driving and revocation of his license.

Kobe Bryant did not rape anyone. He was just nasty to have intercourse with that nasty girl.

I think it is funny we forgot kobe bryant raped a girl, but everyone still loves him. This is private. Think about his family and what they are going through. Instead of everyone speculating, we should send our prayers to the family. Remember no one is perfect we all make mistakes it is not our place to judge.

sounds like a farce to me. Why was she at his home? If he was married? Just stay away!

To W in RM- YOU need to get the facts and the ENTIRE story before you accuse his wife of things and say that he was set up. I guess he was set up by the police for the DUI and other charges too, huh? Like someone said earlier- they wouldn't arrest you or bother charging you without physical evidence. And just b/c he wasn't a criminal before this, doesn't mean he's incapable of becoming one! So, unless you have spoken with both parties- YOU are the one who needs to get a grip and not point fingers until you get the ENTIRE story!

If he is found guilty I have to assume he will lose his job, so will he have to repay all the tax dollars he is receiving while at home on RAPE charges?

People are talking about the grammar and spelling because some people commenting on here sound illiterate.

okay, why are most of you talking about the way people are spelling and what not. just read the comment and don't worry about how they are spelled. a guidance counselor has nothing to do with the spelling. if i remember correctly, i learned how to spell in kindergarten and middle school. so before you decide to put down Northern, think.
