Cactus..... Visit any gun shop. The statute is required to be posted plainly visible, in letters not less than 1" high. If memory serves me correctly you will find it under article 14, but don't quote me on that.

Cletus, where can I find the NC law that requires a gun to be inoperable when in the home or storage? My guns are stored all around the house and none have locks, they are loaded and ready for action.

Derek of Greenville must be joking or a moron. At 13 it is against the law to have a gun in possession without supervisiuon of an adult. The article fails to mention where the gun came from. Under NC statutes firearms must be stored in a manner that so as to be unaccessible to a minor. If the gun came from the home the parents are criminally negligent. But most likely he got it from one of his gang-banging homies. In either event his parents share some blame for failure to properly supervise this kid. The problem with society today is that too many parents are too permissive and the courts have taken away the rights of parents to administer dicipline.

The gun was just a convient way for the child to carry out his anger to the ultimate degree. If you believe "fairy tales" Cain slew Able with something other than a gun, and the the process has been repeating for thousands of years. The gun will just lie there and and do nothing until someone decides to use it. Buzz-
