There's been a break in a home invasion case where the victim was injured.

Nash County deputies have arrested five men for the April 1st home invasion on Dortches Boulevard. During the attack, Milton Joyner and Sherly Jeans were tied up and property stolen from the home.

Johnathan Murray of Nashville, Michael Bryant of Nashville, Robert Dawes of Roanoke Rapids, and Douglas Whitfield of Nashville were charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, first degree burglary, first degree kidnapping, robbery with a dangerous weapon and felony conspiracy.

Roger Pittman of Rocky Mount is facing two counts of felony conspiracy.

Deputies say bonds for the men range from $400,000 to $27,000, explaining that they went before different magistrates when they were arrested.

I know 2 of them and have heard of 2 others. I even tried to tip the police off on 2 of them way back in March. Anyone that knows any of them knows it is true and I hope they get found out and charged with all the other crimes they have committed because the police haven't even begun to dig into these guys past. There won't be half as much crime in Rocky Mount and Nashville anymore!!!

If you ask me they need to stay in there for a long time!

I think you also need to let the public know that My father was found innocent and that the 4 other guys wrote in their statements that my father, Douglas Whitfield, was not involved in this crime in any way.

Interesting - this took place the same month as the Freedom Federal Credit Union bank robbery & they are some of the same suspects in that case too. Maybe they didn't get as much as they "needed" from this couple so they planned the bank heist. One reason bail is different is because one of the suspects sings like a canary, putting blame on everyone else. Sounds like they all need help, like maybe some jail time for their crimes!

There should be a set amount of bond for each crime. Then liberal weakling magistrates won't be able to put a piddling small bond on one guy while the other gets a bond 10 times as much.
