An investigation is underway after skeletal remains are found in a field.

The discovery was made Monday afternoon in Edgecombe County.

The Sheriff's Office say it received a call around 4:30 that an individual working in a field located the remains just inside the wooded area off of Seven Bridges Road near Rocky Mount.

The Sheriff's Office says the remains are believed to be that of a small frame black female.

We'll be following the case and have the latest information as it becomes available.

The count is five and yes I agree there is a serial killer. Edgecombe County needs to get on the ball and find this person. It's so sad that these women are getting murder.

Ok, so are you waiting for your crystal ball to tell you that this is a serial murderer or do you need more bodies? Is count now at five or six?
