GOOD NEWS: Most Counties See Drop In Unemployment

There is some good news on the economic front in North Carolina - the unemployment rate has dropped in 83 counties.

The April county rates came out Friday morning showing unemployment went up for just 14 counties and remained the same in three.

Two coastal counties saw the biggest drop in the state. Dare County was first with a 4.9% drop, while Hyde was second with a 4.2% decline.

Four counties in Eastern Carolina saw their unemployment rise. Those were Greene, .5%, Nash, .1%, Pamlico, .2% and Wilson County, with a .7% increase.

THE NEWS MEDIA COVERAGE IS THE WORST PART OF THIS WHOLE RECESSION CRAP ANYWAY. IT IS ALL NEGATIVE AND FILLED WITH THE LEFT SPIN ON THINGS. I AM NOT SAYING THINGS AREN'T BAD, IT IS JUST THAT WHEN YOU HARP ON SOMETHING LONG ENOUGH PEOPLE GET TIRED OF HEARING ABOUT IT. TO WITN, THERE ARE SOME GOOD THINGS OUT THERE TO REPORT ON, DO YOUR JOB AND PUT SOME POSITIVE THINGS ON THE AIR INSTEAD OF MORE BAD NEWS AND BRINGING EVERYONE DOWN. I CHALLENGE YOU (WITN-TV) TO DO A FULL 30 MINUTE NEWS CAST ON POSITIVE NEWS STORIES. GLAD TO SEE UMEMPLOYMENT DROPPED. THE USA IS STILL THE BEST PLACE TO LIVE NO MATTER THE CIRCUMSTANCES. AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT HERE BY A ONE WAY TICKET TO NOWHERE!
