Butterfield Wants Perdue To Consider Black DA

U.S. Rep. G.K. Butterfield prefers that North Carolina Gov. Beverly Perdue appoint a black district attorney in Edgecombe, Nash and Wilson counties.

Butterfield wrote Monday asking Perdue to interview and consider qualified black lawyers to succeed retiring DA Howard Boney to increase diversity in the court system.

Butterfield said there's only one black district attorney in the state and that black Democrats in the counties comprise 60 percent of the registered voters. The congressman also criticized what he called a lack of racial diversity in Boney's office.

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People made similar calls last week.

Perdue's office said last week she's committed to "appointing highly qualified people to serve who reflect all of North Carolina."

So now Butterfield is encouraging violation of EEOC standards. In his own words,"to increase racial diversity". You mean a DA should be hired because of his/her shin color. I believe Butterfield is prepping people for votes. Vote Butterfield out of office next election. The liberals are trying to destroy our nation. What I want to know is if prolifers, conservatives and returning war vets are considered potential domestic terrorists by the Obama administration, why is the NAACP not on that list? The nation is being run by morons.

Could you imaging what the NAACP would say if someone white requested a white to fill any position. It is getting obsurd the way this world believes. Every time someone white does anything to someone black the NAACP is breathing down their back but when it is the other way around it is just part of life. It is about time we stand up for our rights because believe it or not white people have rights as well!!

Butterfield or Butterfly, who cares? They just want ALL the positions filled by blacks! She needs to focus on 'WHERE'S MY TAX REFUND"!!!! If we didn't file or pay, we be penalized! Well, they've got my refund and say it may B delayed 4 weeks because of dwindling NC funds. What did they use my money for? I wasn't theirs to use! Abolish the tax system we have now & everybody and I mean every body pay a straight percentage across the board. No gimmicks, no loop holes for anyone. You make $5, you pay 5%, you make $1,000,000 you pay 5 %! Sounds fair to me.

But you know, with people like him, the way Obama has lied ( no earmarks, no lobbyist in my cabinet) and everybody he chooses for important positions under investigation for taxes and misuse of money. And do not forget PELOSI, that woman scares me, the democrats, which I am one, are going to be hurting next election. I am very disapointed and ashamed that I have been a part of it. I don't think I chose the lesser of two evils.
