Two men have been arrested for abducting a Nash County man and holding him for ransom to pay off a drug debt.
Deputies say it began last Wednesday around 6:30 p.m. when Angel Mendoza-Valdovinos was kidnapped from his Rocky Mount home.
Charged with first degree kidnapping, extortion, felony conspiracy are Javier Gonzales of Fort Pierce, Florida and Rivera Riboberto, who deputies say would not give an address.
Deputies say the two were demanding money lost when Mendoza-Valdovinos's brother was arrested for drugs.
The victim, with the help of the SBI and other agencies, was found unharmed and the two men arrested.
Gonzales and Rigoberto are each being held under $200,000 and are due in court tomorrow.
