Frost Advisory Well Inland Tonight

A Frost Advisory has been placed in effect for early Friday across much of inland eastern North Carolina. The Frost Advisory includes nearly areas along and west of Interstate 95. Cold high pressure will move over the region tonight causing winds to diminish. The clear skies and dry air will allow temperatures to drop rapidly after sunset. Middle 30s will likely be reached near the Interstate 95 corridor and frost will likely develop. Cities such as Roanoke Rapids, Tarboro, Rocky Mount, Wilson and Goldsboro and under the advisory. Elsewhere, there could be patchy frost to form in many locations between Highway 17 and Interstate 95. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.
