Bringing high school seniors together with recruiters from historically black colleges.
That was the goal of the 8th annual College Roundup at Edgecombe Community College Saturday.
Recruiters from 20 colleges met face to face with potential students looking into the possibility of higher education.
The roundup was a chance for students to apply for admission and in some cases get accepted on the spot.
All admission fees were waived Saturday, as part of a larger goal that academic leaders say is simply creating an awareness.
In addition to college recruiters and admission staff from 20 colleges, there were financial aid officials on hand as well explaining their processes for getting the funds to pay for college.
