Three Facing Meth Charges After Jones County Bust

Three people were jailed after deputies in Jones County said they caught the trio with crystal meth.

Investigators told WITN they found crystal meth and drug paraphernalia at a Trenton home on Old Kinston-Trenton Road on Tuesday.

According to the Jones County Sheriff's Office, 66-year-old Johnnie Owens was put in jail under a $100,000 bond on charges of possession with intent to sell or deliver meth, possession of the drug, conspiring to sell it, and keeping a home or car for the purpose of the drug.

Paula Owens, 64-years-old, faces the same charges as Johnnie Owens and is also jailed on a $100,000 bond.

John Stocks Jr. of Snow Hill is facing the same list of charges connected to meth and is also in jail under a $100,00 bond.

We are awaiting further information from the Sheriff's Office on this alleged bust.

This marks the second time in as many weeks in which the Jones County Sheriff's Office has reported a triple arrest connected to the production or sale of meth in the county.

On August 12th, deputies arrested Janet Berry in connection to a meth lab found on Tyndall Lane, off White Oak River Road, in Maysville.

The next day, deputies said they also arrested Maysville residents Alexander Jones, 26, and Melissa Renay Turner, 30, in the same Tyndall Lane case.

Investigators said they were still looking to arrest Michael Hodges on connection to the August 12th bust. To see his mug shot, click here.
