Police say they need your help to find a suspect who is getting more violent in his crimes.
The police chief in Beulaville in Duplin County says he heard this man say as a teenager that he wanted to kill a cop-- and the chief takes him seriously.
Police say 25-year-old Brian Davis from the Beulaville area is wanted both in Duplin and Sampson counties.
In 2008 police say Davis shot at a Duplin County Deputy-- served less than 10 months in prison, and has been out since then-- working on smaller crimes including breaking and entering-- that is, until last week. Police say on September 4th Davis targeted the manager of the Family Dollar Store-- two blocks from the police station.
The plan was to kidnap the manager from his home- then get him to the store and get any cash in the safe. The plan didn't work out and the manager was unharmed. But the fact that Davis is becoming more bold- combined with his old rap sheet has the police chief chomping at the bit to arrest him.
Police say to consider Davis armed and dangerous- if you see him, call police-- do not attempt to approach him yourself.
