Record Heroin Bust In Jones County

It's being called the largest heroin bust in Jones County history. Deputies say a couple is in jail after a search of their home on Cobb Road near the Lenoir County line.

Takyra Kitchens and Kelvin Nails were charged with two counts of trafficking heroin, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver heroin, conspiring to traffic heroin, maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

During the search they seized about $15,000 worth of heroin, digital scales and large amounts of packaging materials.

Kitchens' bond was set a $1,000,000 while Nails was jailed on a $250,000 bond.

    do i understand that their is one business in jones county that realized a profit. i am impressed. so many fail or go bankrupt.

    I have never understood why anybody would even want to buy that junk. I hate the fact it's so many people down this way that do the stuff.

    To Wondering: Her Criminal History is probably worse than His. And she may have been busted for the same thing in the past and obviously not learned her lesson. Or she could have not cooperated with Police or not cooperated with the Magistrate. All of these things are taken into consideration when setting a Bond.
