RIVER ALERTS: Final Flood Warnings Canceled

The flood warning for the Contentnea Creek near Hookerton has been canceled. Flood stage for the Contentnea Creek near Hookerton is 13.0 feet. At 10:00 am Saturday, the stage was at 12.1 feet and slowly falling. The river is forecast to fall below flood stage this afternoon. At 14.0 feet water may begin to reach some secondary roads in Lenoir county.

The flood warning for the Neuse River near Kinston has been canceled. Flood stage for the Neuse River at Kinston is 14.0 feet. At 10:00 am Sunday, the river was at 13.06 feet and slowly falling. It crested around 16.1 feet Thursday evening.

The flood warning on the Trent River at Pollocksville in Jones County and Swift Creek at Streets Ferry in Craven County have been canceled.
