No cause is listed in a preliminary report from the NTSB on a deadly airplane crash in Duplin County last week.
Killed in the November 17th crash outside the Duplin County Airport was Marine Corps Major Luke Parker.
Parker took off in his Focke-Wulf FWP 149D from Albert Ellis Airport in neighboring Onslow County around 5:45 a.m.
The NTSB says a worker at Albert Ellis said it was very foggy at the time.
The next day the wrecked was found about 3/4ths of a mile northeast of the runway at the Kenansville airport in a heavily wooded area.
A final report from the NTSB on the accident is likely several months away.
