A Camp Lejeune marine is in the hospital with serious injuries after his motorcycle collided with another Sunday afternoon.
It happened on Pole Pocosin Road just North of Maysville in Jones County around 1:55 p.m.
Troopers say a group of around 10 people were riding their motorcycles when two of the motorcyclists bumped into each other.
21-year-old Ryne Snooks then went of the road and into a ditch. Troopers say he is doing okay.
26-year-old Myron Jackson ended up hitting a sign and he was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries.
Troopers say speed was a factor in the accident.
Snooks has been charged with exceeding a safe speed limit. Other charges are pending.
