A crash involving a log truck in Jones County sent a woman to the hospital.
Troopers say about 4:45 Friday afternoon on Highway 17 at Simmons Loop Road the truck was rounding a curve and saw traffic had almost come to a stop. The driver from Jacksonville told troopers he didn't have time to stop, and blew his horn. Troopers say one car got out of the way, but the log truck rammed into the back of a Jeep SUV.
The driver of the Jeep, a 43 year old woman from Virginia, was taken to Craven Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the log truck is charged with failure to reduce speed.
