A kilo of cocaine was seized Sunday after a traffic stop in a McDonald's parking lot in Duplin County.
Luis Sanchez was charged with four counts of trafficking in cocaine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, deliver cocaine, maintaining a vehicle, felony possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Deputies say they had received information that the Rose Hill man would be transporting drugs to the Beulaville area. His vehicle was stopped in the McDonald's parking lot in Beulaville where a drug dog alerted deputies.
The cocaine has a street value of $100,000. Sanchez is being held on a $500,000 bond and has a February 24th court date.
