With frigid temperatures rolling across the east, some are bundling up inside their homes, without power.

Duke Energy Progress outage maps showed 1,375 people were without power at 4:55 a.m. in Kenansville. At 9 a.m., only two customers were listed to be without power.

426 people woke up in the dark in Ahoskie in Hertford County. That power has been restored. Dominion Power also resolved an outage of about 100 customers in the Leggett area of Edgecombe County.

Tideland EMC said 438 customers in Craven County were without power earlier this morning. The company's Facebook page noted they had a load issue around 7 a.m. on Broad Creek Road that knocked out power there. Tideland EMC is recommending their customers "turn off all non-essential items and reserve capacity for heating systems which are fairly well maxed out this morning."

Greenville Utilities reports they got a call around 6 a.m. from Porter Road near Highway 33 of an outage. Crews have been dispatched, but no word on when the 10-12 customers there will be restored.

A pocket of 791 customers west of Clinton also reported outages starting around 3 a.m. Those residents are expected to be back on the grid around 7:15 a.m.
