High Speed Crash Kills Rose Hill Woman

A woman from Rose Hill in Duplin County is dead after a crash in Onslow County on Sunday morning.

The Highway Patrol says 31-year-old Fontella Wilson was killed on Highway 111 near Haw Branch Rd. around 6:50 a.m. Sunday. Troopers say she was headed towards Duplin County when she crashed into an SUV.

Wilson was charged in June for drunk driving after she was pulled over with fifty students on her bus, headed to E.E. Smith Middle School in Duplin County. She was scheduled to be in court this Tuesday morning.

Troopers say Wilson was driving more than 100 miles per hour when she crossed the center line and hit a Chevy Avalanche head on. According to the Highway Patrol, Wilson was not wearing a seat belt. There was also a small smell of alcohol in her car, according to the troopers.

Troopers say the SUV that Wilson crashed into was driven by Ronnie Hargrove, who is also from Rose Hill. He was treated and released.

I'm hurt that I just found out about this. People need to watch what they say and do. I am hurt at news media, how they make big deals out of small black mistakes. I can not say, mistake. #1 _ How they charged her for driving and they did not stop her driving is one mistake. Who can say she was drunk? How many DRUNK people can drive a bus and pick up 50 students without missing some of them? Drunk drivers drive impaired. Maybe it was not an accident, she got tired of people intimidating her and called it quits. One bus driver can wreck and they give awards to ems and patrolman and another bus driver can make a wise decision and they railroad her. We are not ignorant. But ignorance is bliss. Media need to stop bullying and harassing people and making assumptions without facts. My sister continue to rest in peace and family, now is not the time to quit. God is. She was tired. Point blank.

Many people always have something bad to say all the time. This was someones daughter, mother sister and friend. she is gone now and you are still commenting on the past.Let it go, please. Her children have asked why are people saying such bad things about their mom. They have been told that Jesus Christ was talked about and whether you do right or wrong you will still be talked about, so don't worry about what people say. Fontella was not perfect, who is? The first person to throw the stones are the very ones doing some or most of the dirt themselves. just saying!!!!! We need to be more mindful of what we say and how it comes out of our mouths!!!!!!Fontella made bad decision, as we all have. Some not as bad as others, but God sees no sin bigger than another, a sin is a Sin!!!! If people took the time and kept the dirt off their own floors, then they wont have the time to look and comment on everybody else's dirt. But we are human!!!! But just be reminded that you to will have a turn.........

Goes to show that you can do a million things right in your life and 1 thing wrong and you will always be accountable for that 1 wrong thing!! Judge if you will, but those that judge have more issues than we could ever imagine..

Some people should be ashamed of themselves. Haven't you heard the saying you shouldn't speak ill of the deceased. When she stand befor God she would have to account for her actions alone. You are speaking of someone's daughter, mom, sister, aunt, and niece. The family are suffering enough without having to see negative feed from people that don't know anything about the young lady who lost her life. Show some respect to Fontella's children. If you don't have anything good to say or sending out your prayers and condolences then please don't say anything at all. No matter what mistakes where made in her past no one can say she didn't make it right before God before he called her home.

I just want to say that Fontella you are missed. I know the family. I am very sorry for your lose, may God comfort and hold you close. There should be nothing said other than this young woman has left behind a family and ones that loved her very much. People sometimes try to be a judge and there is only one GOD. He was ready for her to come home, and he is now there to comfort her family during their time of lose. I went to school with Fontella a lovely girl, she was well liked and nice to all. Sometimes God takes us before we are ready but it is not in our time it is in his time. I feel very sad for all the family, who lost this young lady. May God be with you and all that have negative things to say, we all have a time and a place where it will be, no one knows and no one can control, so before you judge and talk trash think about what you are saying and how it will affect the family. Love and prayers to family and children. God hold and comfort this family for they have lost a precious gift, they need you to keep them and help them through this awful time, In Jesus Name Amen.

Praying for her family. May God be with them at this difficult time. To all those who posted earlier itt is not up to us to judge, but that is God's job and he doesn't judge us until we are gone. Praying for all those who do not understand that it is not our job to judge others but to do what is right and keep our own lives righteous.

As people we should be praying for her family as they go through this tough time. Despite, what happen in her past it's irrelevant. Everyone has made poor decisions in life. Therefore, we should not pass judgement on anyone. To the family and friends of this young lady I pray that you find peace and strength during the time of your bereavement. Remember GOD is able to do exceedingly and abundantly...Rest in peace Mrs. Wilson.

I didn't know her personally,I have seen her on several occasions, she was in a relationship with my cousin. People should watch what they say about others. We never know when it could be someone in our family. If you can't say anything positive, don't say anything. She was someone's child, mother, sister, friend, cousin, and aunt and I know they miss her dearly. My prayers are with her family and I pray God strength for each family member. Think b4 u post something. Remember His makes no mistakes. R.I.P. Fontella
