Deputies say a fight between a homeless couple squatting in a home led to a stabbing.
Jones County Sheriff's Detective Jim Langwell says deputies arrived at a home on W. Jones Street near Trenton around 11:30 Friday night. They found a man bleeding badly from his left arm.
His girlfriend, 42-year-old Angela Quinn, is now charged with assault with a deadly weapon. Deputies say she stabbed 43-year-old Todd Decamp several times on the hands, face, back and arm with a machete.
Langwell says Quinn was bruised and had a black eye. They told deputies they were homeless and were staying in the abandoned house on the street.
Decamp was treated at the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Quinn refused treatment, but deputies say she ended up being forced to go due to her alcohol intoxication.
