Several Eastern Carolina school systems are delaying or closing on Friday because of Tropical Storm Andrea.
Arapahoe Charter School: dismissing at 10 a.m.
Beaufort County Schools: dismissing three hours early
Craven County Schools: two hour delay
Duplin County Schools: one hour delay, dismissing at 12:30 p.m.
Jones County Schools: two hour delay
Onslow County Schools: two hour delay
Pamlico County Schools: closed
Kinston Charter Academy: dismissing early
Washington Montessori Charter School: dismissing at 11:30 a.m., no after-school care.
Care-O-World Enrichment Center's NC Pre-K is dismissing at 11:30 a.m.
Duplin County Schools will be on a one hour delay, this on the last day of school.
Spokeswoman Dawn Craft says in addition to the opening delay, the school system will also dismiss one hour later. She explains Friday was supposed to a half day, with students leaving at 11:30 a.m.
Now, students will stay until 12:30 p.m. because they must get a certain amount of classroom hours.
Pamlico County schools will be closed Friday for students. It will be an optional workday for faculty and staff. Tuesday will be a make-up day.
Pamlico County High School Graduation, at this time, is still scheduled for Friday June 7, 2013 @ 7:00pm.
Pamlico County Middle School Graduation will be Monday June 10, 2013 @ 8:30am as originally scheduled.
