Jones County authorities say a teacher accused of forcing two students to perform sex acts did not appear before a judge on Friday.
Dammion Martin, a former teacher's assistant and assistant football coach at Jones Senior High School, was scheduled for a court appearance. But the District Attorney's Office says Friday's appearance was just for Martin's lawyer to update the judge that his client is living up to conditions of his bond.
Martin is facing two counts of crimes against nature and two counts of sexual offense on a student.
Authorities say he turned himself into deputies last March after two female students claimed he locked them in a classroom and forced them to perform sex acts.
Detectives say the assaults occurred on school campus in 2006 and 2008
