To Ped: You obviously have never hit water pooling in the road or a section of road that becomes slick when it rains. Sometimes even paying close attention you can run into trouble in the rain. Let me know where you drive so I can steer clear of you!

Did you not pay any attention in drivers ed, or do you just not pay attention to simple facts. Rain on the raods causes less traction, hydroplaning, increased stopping distance, and poor visibility. If you can slip on a wet floor what makes you think a wet road is any different? People with this mindset are the cause of many accidents, evry time it rains. Every storm that comes through I see cars littering the ditches of the road on my hour long ride home. Not multi car accidents, people who lost control on a wet road and put it in the ditch. Sloe down in the rain, it may save your life and someone elses.

Rain should not cause you to change your driving at all! if it were extremely cold and there was a potential for ice absolutely but if you can't drive in rain you do not need to be on the road. Or you can purchase better windshield wipers. If you pay attention to the road ahead of you, you should be just fine.

This stretch of road has always been dangerous, ESPECIALLY when it's raining. Slow down people.
