Duplin County authorities say they have a death investigation underway.
Sheriff Blake Wallace says a teenager was found dead in a mobile home on Guy Sanderson Road, that's outside of Albertson in northern Duplin County.
Wallace tells WITN News that the death of Kener Barahona is being treated as a homicide right now. He says an autopsy will be conducted Saturday.
The sheriff says there are no suspects yet and they will treat the teen's death as a homicide until they learn more from the autopsy. Wallace says the body was found this morning by a roommate.
An older brother of the victim said he last talked to Barahona Monday when the 17-year-old said he was walking back from a friends home. The brother says the victim lived in the mobile home with the roommate and had only been in North Carolina for about a month.
