Silver Alert For Duplin County Woman

A woman who disappeared over the weekend remains the focus of a Silver Alert Monday morning.

The state issued a Silver Alert for Darlene Wilson, a 45-year-old from Duplin County. Officials say Wilson was last seen at 137 Marion Place in Warsaw.

The alert was issued Saturday afternoon because officials think Wilson could be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

The state has not released a picture of Wilson, but they describe her as an African-American woman who weighs 200 pounds and stands 5'8" tall. She is described as having medium-length black hair and black eyes.

If you have information on the whereabouts of Darlene Wilson, you are asked to call the Warsaw Police Department at (910) 293-7816.

Darlene loves to work on the farm and weed people's flowers. She is an outdoor type person. She walks very fast every where she goes and is almost always in sneakers and carrying a knapsack on one shoulder. Any clues on her would certainly be helpful.
