Gas At $2.39 A Gallon

If you're looking for cheap gas you may want to drive off the beaten path.

One Lenoir County convenience store is selling gas at $2.39 a gallon. It's at Welles Country Store on Highway 58, between Kinston and Trenton.

The lowest price in Kinston is $2.52.

When asked how they can sell for so much less, a store employee told WITN News that she can't give away store secrets.

And while $2.39 may sound like a good deal, it's not the lowest in the state. Gasbuddy.com says the lowest in the state is $2.27 in Asheboro.

All i know is that gas should not be this high. It is all a scandal along with other political factors. The change i can believe in is the increasingly sized hole in my wallet our government/president is still making!!!

Derek: You'll get your wish at Europe priced gas eventually. Obama is transforming America into a European style government. Gov. Perdue is aware that NC has the highest gas tax in the Southeast. But, the politicians need more...more I say. It is change you can believe in. Pour some Koolaid in your car and see if it runs as well as the Koolaid driven liberal mind.

Tarboro had gas for $2.39 over the July 4th. weekend. It was $2.65 in Greenville and adjoining areas. Make you wonder why.

Derek: Who cares what gas costs in other countries. We need to B able to buy it here! Get your head out of the sand, Obamaite!! Since his wife doesn't seem to mind jet setting all over England, what does he care what we have to pay for gas???

What are you going to do to force stations to lower gas prices? Dive 30 miles to save $3.30 that you would burn going there? Don't get me wrong I hate the way G'ville, Washington and Belhaven stations all have the same higher gas prices, but you have to have it to get around. I think people have been driving less due to the economy. I have talked to people at the ports who have stated that the tankers just pile up sitting off shore waiting to be unloaded. I know the Trade stations use their own 18 wheelers to transport gas and prices are different from Washington to Williamston and I bet they are all comning from G'ville. Its a no win situation. I don't buy anthing from these stations other than gas. They may make their money off me from gas, but nothing else! People are frustrated!

To Derek: I thought Obama promised us "hope"? All we see is the same old thing. Gas may be $11 per gallon in Europe, but what is the minimum wage? What is the cost of living? Bet you don't know that, but my relatives live there, and I know. You can't compare these two countries, so don't sarcastically say "keep complaining my friends" when you are doing that very thing yourself.

Typical, gas prices lower, and Dwayne still finds a way to throw Obama into the mix. Be thankful that gas is under $3 a gallon, whereas in Europe some prices are as high as $11 a gallon. Keep complaining my friends....
