It happened around 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Highways 17 and 58 in Pollocksville.

State troopers tell WITN News that the driver fell asleep at the wheel and ran off the road. The tractor trailer then flipped over 1-1/2 times, landing on its side.

Fergus Wilson of Jacksonville, Florida is charged with careless and reckless driving.

Troopers say the driver received some minor cuts and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The tractor trailer was carrying concrete barriers which spilled out onto the highway. The tractor trailer belongs to Temple Trucking of Chesapeake, Virginia.
