Vice President Joe Biden Visits Eastern Carolina

Vice President Joe Biden's visit to Eastern Carolina is designed to show how the federal stimulus plan is helping improve health care and public safety in rural communities.

Chelsea Donovan shared what she saw during the visit on
WITN's Twitter page. Click here to read.

Biden and U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack are visiting Duplin and Wayne counties Wednesday to highlight how funds are being used. Biden is overseeing enactment of the $787 billion stimulus program.

The first stop was in Faison, where they toured the Goshen Medical Center rural clinic before heading to a fire department in Pikeville that is receiving money to build a new station.

In Faison, Biden say the government wants to help the community reclaim its vital role in our society.

He said health care is essential to the well being of communities, and that small towns and rural towns must have access to resources for the health of their citizens.

Biden said the Goshen Medical Center is a model for the future of health care in rural communities, showing how health care can be efficiently delivered to rural areas.

He said the center served tens of thousand of people last year. With money from the federal government, Biden said the center can see up to 5,000 additional patients.

Stay tuned to WITN and for coverage of the Vice President's visit to Eastern Carolina.

The thing no one is talking about is the fact Joe is giving the Porkulus Package credit for this money, "But it was already approved and in the pipeline. It's totally disingenuous to come down here and say this is stimulus money, when regardless of whether a stimulus bill passed, they were getting the money." according to NC State Senator David Rouzer. Looks like WITN missed it too according to the story above... The News & Observer got it right. That's where I got the above quote. Politics, experience (or lack thereof), and socialist agendas aside, they are lying to us about what this package is supposedly doing. The address to the online article is below:

Obama goes to London, Biden goes to Faison. The greatest thing the the Obama network NBC could say on the national news was that Michelle Obama didn't carry a handbag when she met the queen. The vast majority of unemployed "citizens" of the United States really care about that. Disconnection between the elite and the average working American. It is change you can believe in. Sarcase intended.

So the taxpayers of the US spent tens of thousands of dollars so Joe Biden could talk to 3 people? Money well spent!

For your information, your State Senator David Rouzer, a Republican from Pikeville who worked for the Dept. of Agriculture under President Bush, secured most of the funds for the fire station under the Bush administration and the money was already in the pipeline. The Obama administration is switching money around and trying to take credit, robbing others of their rightful due. If you are going to continue to present yourself as a "news" organization, it would be good to actually be one, instead of yet another propaganda machine trying to control the American people and turn this into a fascist nation for profit. Either that, or you are not hiring reporters who are very smart. This is dangerous and not helping anyone. It's also all over the news, so you might want to clean up your act...

Joe Biden Oh I remember him now . He was the guy who said a few months ago. That said " Barack Obama has no experience in running a country " I think Biden feels Obama stole his job as President.

No alpha female, Barlow and Lavon are in their own koolaide drinking life. At least we agree on some things. They seem to be "do anything you want" except what government freedoms dictate. This is like the media's take on Palin. They go after Palin and her daughter which is a taboo. Bidens daughter gets into trouble and there has been no word of it. You notice that WITN is till running the Palin story after months? No mention of what Bidens daughter did. If I post here on the NAACP, I am a racist, gay marriage, well, I am a homophobe and if against the chosen one, I am not giving him a chance or I am not patriotic. And, Barlow, bombing of hospitols in Iraq? What about bombing hospitols in Afganistan? This is the good war? Then we shouldn't be in Iraq? Has he been there to see all the good and hope we gave the Iraqis or is he caught up with party idealogy? I don't think I need to answer that, we already know.
