No Students Injured In Crash With School Activity Bus

No students were injured in a school bus accident Tuesday afternoon in Jones County.

It happened just before 3:00 p.m. on Highway 258 at Hargetts Crossroads.

School public information officer Kelly Michaud tells WITN News that the activity bus was carrying students from Jones Senior High School to a track meet in Duplin County. She said none of the 38 students or the driver on board were injured.

Michaud says the bus was actually stopped at the intersection when two other vehicles collided. She said one of those vehicles, a pickup truck, then hit the school bus.

There is no immediate word on the condition of the people in the other vehicles.

The students got on another bus and returned to school.
