Missing Marines Found Safe And Sound

Two Marines who had gone missing near Duplin County Sunday have been found safe and sound.

Duplin County Sheriff tells WITN a total of seven Marines were floating down a raft in the Northeast Cape Fear River between Wallace and Chinquapin. Five of the Marines got off the raft a short time later and called authorities when the other two didn't show up late Sunday night.

Duplin County Sheriff's department along with the Duplin Search and Rescue Team and a Highway Patrol helicopter searched for the duo and both were found around two Monday morning.

Both Marines are said to be doing fine.

I have a 2 year old that could have found her way out of that area. I know because I used to live there. It's not brain surgery.

You should be thankful that the 2 Marines were found safe and why ask them to reimburse for their search. Our military men and women train hard to fight for your freedom!! That is reimbursement more than enough so that we can sleep well at night and not have to fight enemies on the frontline. God Bless Our Troops.

I hope once they get back to their unit a land/nav class is in store for them. As well as reimbursement for all the personnel who went looking for them.
