The wife of a Craven County deputy is facing charges, accused of setting her family van on fire.

The van burned and scorched the family's home on Purser Road in Vanceboro in August.

Katherine Ford is charged with one count of burning personal property, one count of burning an occupied dwelling, two counts of insurance fraud, one count of obtaining property by false pretense and one count of attempting to obtain property by false pretense.
