Vacant House Fire In New Bern Called Suspicious

A vacant house fire in New Bern is being called suspicious.

Police say crews were called to the intersection of Biddle and H Streets just before 1 a.m. Thursday. It took fire crews about two hours to fully extinguish the fire.

Fire Marshal Danny Hill says there was no power hooked up to the house and there were signs that people had been staying there. He said the official cause is still undetermined.

Anyone with information on the fire should call the New Bern Fire Department.
