A bear cub apparently is very curious when it comes to the back doors of people's homes in several Craven County neighborhoods.
Wednesday we told you about the cub off Brices Creek Road that was caught peering into Mollie Doyle's back door. Now another viewer has sent us a picture of the same cub on their back deck.
Gloria Kitchen says several days ago the bear was caught looking through their back windows. She says the bear has been tearing down bird feeders, looking for food.
The bear has done the same thing in Doyle's neighborhood too. Doyle says she's never seen one seem this comfortable around people.
New Bern is known as the bear city, but residents of one neighborhood don't want to be that up close and personal to the city's mascot.
For the past week, residents in one neighborhood near the airport have seen a bear cub roaming around in their subdivision. Today one woman looked out her back door and saw the bear staring back at her.
Neighbors say they been trying to get NC Wildlife officers out to the area, but so far the bear is still on the run.
