The U.S. Forest service is warning motorists of a potential super fog event overnight Saturday June 23rd into Sunday morning June 24th.
A combination of smoke and water vapor is leading forest officials to issue an unusual alert for the New Bern-Havelock area.
Officials say super fog events pose serious threats to roadway safety and generally occur between sunset and sunrise.

Officials say potentially affected roadways include U.S. Highways 70 and 17 State Highways 55, 58, 304 and 306 in the New Bern and Havelock, NC areas.
