Two people were taken to the hospital Wednesday night after a single vehicle crash in Craven County.
Trooper Woods with the Highway Patrol says a vehicle heading east on Sand Ridge Road in New Bern ran off the road and crashed into a tree.
The accident happened around 9:30 p.m. near the intersection of Wildlife Road.
Troopers tell us the driver was taken to CarolinaEast Medical Center with broken bones. The passenger was flown to New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
Speed is a factor in the crash and charges are pending.
