A bus accident Friday in Craven County sent one child the hospital.
The accident happened just after 1:00 p.m. in the west bound lanes of Highway 70 on the Trent River bridge.
Highway Patrol says a green Kia was driving along side of an Excel learning center bus when the bus tried the change lanes. The Kia over corrected, did a 360 turn around the front of the bus, hit the guardrail and the side of the bus, before coming to a stop.
The driver of the Kia, 21-year-old Amanda Moore of New Bern was transported to CarolinaEast Medical Center. One student, 10-year-old Robert Riddle, from the Excel bus, was also taken to the hospital. Both had minor injuries.
