Craig Ramey with Tryon Palace says, "We certainly enjoy having people come here this time of year. We get a lot more groups. People will wait until December to book their trip because they want to have that added experience, and they know it's different every year and it's not something they're going to get the other 11 months."
Decoration designer Sadaf Hassan says this years theme is the four seasons. She says, "We do keep the historic aspect in mind using fresh fruits, fresh greenery, and they have worked tireless for the last week putting them together."
All the hard work is meant to take you back to 1770.
The Tryon Palace is having a candlelight masquerade December 14th and 21st.
