For military communities, the acronym BRAC, can mean a lot of stress and according to the Havelock News another round of it could be coming soon.
BRAC which stands for "Base Realignment and Closure" has taken place five times in the past and according to the paper could take place again as early as 2013.
The paper reports that the Allies for Cherry Point's Tomorrow lobby group is reorganizing to help protect the base in Havelock. This isn't the first time the group has taken action. They formed in response to the last round of realignment in 2005.
