A registered sex offender has pleaded guilty in federal court on child porn charges.
Brian Vancourt of Havelock made the plea in Greenville before U.S. District Judge Malcolm Howard.
The feds say the 39-year-old Vancourt was caught trafficking in images and video of child porn over the Internet by an undercover police officer in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
After a search warrant, investigators found some 4,500 images and 250 videos containing child porn, including images depicting the sexual abuse of infants and toddlers.
Vancort faces between 15 and 40 years in sentencing which is set for November 13th.
