Police are still looking for a gunman who critically wounded a New Bern man this weekend.
Police say Sharod Murrell was shot at the Colonial Mobile Home Park around 11:00 p.m. Saturday night. Officers say there were people having a party or get together outside when a man walked up and opened fire.
The 26-year-old man was first taken to CarolinaEast Medical Center and then flown to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
Monday afternoon the hospital said Murrell was in critical condition.

Sgt. Jason Williams says that it happened around 11 p.m. Saturday night at the Colonial Mobile Home Park on Morning Star Drive. Sgt. Williams says there were people having a party or get together on a lawn at the park when a man walked up and opened fire.
Officials say that a man was hit and had to be airlifted to Vidant Medical Center. His condition is unknown at this time.
Sgt. Williams says that investigators are working to determine if the victim was a bystander or targeted in the shooting.
Sgt. Williams expects release of more information on Monday.
