A man hit by a car Wednesday morning is still in critical condition the day after the crash.
A spokeswoman with Vidant Medical Center tells WITN 24-year-old Benjamin Puryear was listed in critical condition Thursday morning.
New Bern police said the man was crossing South Glenburnie Road, between Brunswick and Roanoke avenues, when he was hit by an oncoming car around 7 a.m. on Wednesday.
No word yet on any charges in the case.
A man is in the intensive care unit at Vidant Medical Center after he was hit by a vehicle early this morning.
New Bern Police Lt. Rhonda Allen says it happened just after 7:00 a.m. on South Glenburnie Road, between Brunswick and Roanoke avenues.
The victim has been identified as 24-year-old Benjamin Puryear. The hospital says Puryear was in critical condition late Wednesday afternoon.
Allen says the man was crossing the street where there is no crosswalk and was struck by the oncoming car.
The accident is still under investigation and no charges have been filed.
