A 14-year-old declared missing by the Pamlico County Sheriff's Office has been found safely.
Janel Kuzminski of New Bern was found safely according to officials withe the Sheriff's Office.
The teen had been missing since April 19th.
A Sheriff's office is asking for any help from the public in locating a missing teenager.
The Pamlico County Sheriff's Office says that 14-year-old Janel Kuzminski of New Bern was last heard from back on April 19th around midnight. Kuzminski was supposed to move to her fathers in Chesapeake, Virginia with the help of a friend. That friend says they have no knowledge of that arrangement.
Kuzminski’s father received texts from his daughter on another person’s cell phone between 8 and midnight on the 19th. Law enforcement spoke with the owner of that phone who says that's the last time Kuzminski was seen and wasn't sure where she was going.
Kuzminski stands at 5’6’’ and is 140lbs. She has long, dyed black hair and blue eyes.
