New Bern Man Arrested For Armed Robbery, Breaking Into Home

New Bern Police say 34-year-old Clinton Young of New Bern stole cash this afternoon from a home on the 800 block of Pollock Street and had a weapon. Police say there was someone home, but the person was not injured. Police say Young took off and was arrested on Walt Bellemy Drive.

Neighbors tell WITN Young has done work at the home on Pollock Street before. Young is charged with Felony Breaking and Entering, Armed Robbery, 2nd Degree Trespassing, Assault, Damage to Personal Property, Damage to Real Property, and 2 counts of Communicating Threats. He was taken to Craven County Jail and given a $110,000 bond.

    A white guy in THAT area? I wouldn't walk down the street over there (Trent Court) and to go INTO Trent Court to hide is about as stupid as you can get. He might as well have run toward the magistrate's office.
