We now have estimates of what the damage caused by Sunday's severe weather will cost the city of New Bern.
New Bern officials say they received about $250,000 in damages which includes the cost of clean up. The electric department racked up the most cost after the storm brought down power lines and knocked out power. Their costs alone were $235,000 of the entire bill. At the height of the power outage more than 8,000 city of New Bern customers were without power.
