A local radio station personality is still in the hospital a day after the station van he was driving collided with a log truck.
Troopers in Craven County said Johnny Starks was behind the wheel of the 101.9 KISS FM van when he ran a red light along Highway 43 near Spring Garden Road as a tractor trailer was turning.
Investigators said the truck hit the station van and that weather was not a factor in this wreck.
While the driver of the log truck was fine, troopers said Starks was taken to Vidant Medical Center, where he was most recently listed in fair condition.
Troopers said charges are pending further investigation.
Starks is also known by the name Koolout on 101.9 FM.
